This study of morphological truncation establishes correspondence

relations (McCarthy & Prince 1995-ROA 60) between separate words

(dubbed output-output correspondence), with evidence from

phonological effects of over- and underapplication. Templatic

deletion and circumscriptional patterns are similarly analyzed in

terms of output-output relations. Extension of the correspondence

model to so-called "cyclic" phenomena is also briefly considered.
